• - The MI of the MEST is a visualization of a ‘ㄱ,’ the common initial consonant of ‘교육,’ ‘과학’ and ‘기술’ and based on the motif of Hangul, which is considered the most educationally effective and systematic writing system.
• - The gradually rising shapes of ‘ㄱ’ depict education for the future and future-oriented science and technology and highlight the will for the growth and soaring of the country.
• - The three-colored (red: passion; blue: expertise; and yellow: creativity) puzzle shapes represent the development of diverse and creative human resources as well as future-oriented science and technology policy.
